Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce teased his potential retirement during the latest episode of his New Heights podcast alongside his brother and co-host, recently retired former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, released on Wednesday (December 18).

Kelce, 35, a Northeast Ohio native, addressed the Chiefs' road win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, claiming he wasn't sure "if it's the last time" he'll play at Huntington Bank Field.

“It felt so surreal. I don’t know if it’s the last time I’ll play in Cleveland but it kinda felt like I was giving it one last hoorah before I’m done because I’ve only played there twice in 12 years… It was a special day for me personally,” he said.

Kelce finished Sunday's (December 15) game with four receptions for 27 yards as the Chiefs improved their record to an NFL-best 13-1, extending their current winning streak to four games. Kansas City is coming off back-to-back Super Bowl victories, having won three of the last five years.

Kelce, who transcended into superstardom off the field even prior to, but also heightened by, his highly publicized relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift, has fielded questions about his potential retirement, which included an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show in September.

“I’m still enjoying coming to work. I’m not dreading practice,” Kelce said. “I’m just having so much fun and just so appreciative and so fortunate that I’ve been able to come into year 12 and still have this energy and this love and the ability to get to work.”

Kelce is widely regarded as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, having become the fastest player at the position to record 12,000 yards earlier this month. The three-time Super Bowl champion currently hosts the Prime Video game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity? and has numerous other ventures outside of football.
