Tennessee is home to stunning scenery, quirky cities, celebrated restaurants, and now two of the "most exciting" spots in the entire country.
LoveExploring compiled a list of 35 of the "coolest neighborhoods" in America, vibrant destinations each with their own "unique energy" and identity that would serve as the backdrop to lifelong memories. Among the list that includes "hip hangouts" in places like New York City, Austin, and Los Angeles are two locales in Tennessee.
Coming in at No. 5 is Cooper-Young in Memphis, praised for its eclectic eateries, cafes and bars, while Nashville's Germantown ranked No. 31 thanks to its "relaxed" atmosphere away from the bustle of Broadway. Here's what LoveExploring had to say about these unique spots:
Cooper-Young
"This cute district in Midtown is the place to come for independent shops selling quirky art, artisan chocolates, musical instruments and vinyl. It's also the place to say for dinner and drinks."
Germantown
"Named because it was settled by German immigrants, Germantown is home to top-rated restaurants like Rolf & Daughters, while Victorian buildings now house high-end boutiques and art stores. It's lovely to stroll around — with so many trees that the Nashville Tree Foundation has designated it as a city arboretum."
